Spring: I fished Castaic this last weekend. Water was 54degrees on the main lake, but up to 59 in the coves. Caught (3) bass in Elizabeth Canyon, one each on C rigged craw worm in 15-20', fat Ika coming off the rocks in 10-15' water, T rigged 7" zipper worm, Aaron's Magic, coming off the rocks. Morning bite. Lots of fish suspended in coves, getting ready to move up to spawn. Look for the next stretch of warm days to get them more active, and the next full moon will start the spawn. |
