Pinto

Pinto lake is located approximately 5 miles west of Watsonville and is under the jurisdiction of the City of Watsonville.

The lake contains 92 surface acres of water.

Camping is limited although RV sites with full hook-ups are available. Power boats are permitted with a restriction of 5 mph; rentals available.

Pinto Lake holds a good population of rainbow trout (seasonal), catfish, crappie, bass, and bluegill.

Report: caught 8 good ones...1 on a senko, 3 on crank bait, 3 on spinner bait, and 1 on chatter bait, average size 2-3 pounds....the biggest one was 6 and a half pounds which i caught with a chatter bait

Tips: you dont need a boat to fish this lake..fishing from the docks is fine...crank baits and spinner baits seemed to work the best..but only shollow water crank baits

Report: why are you talking mess? because you cant catch sh**...fishing from a boat and off shore is the same thing...i go fishing there every week and i catch ATLEAST 5 fish all weighing over 3 pounds...i bet your out there on your boat catching 1 pounders! ha

Report: Ask you for tips.You only fish from the shore.Thats the worst place to fish at pinto.Get a boat and a clue befor you post a report!!
