Duck

Duck Lake is located near Ocean Shores, in close proximity to the Ocean Shores Beach Drive and the Oyhut Wildlife Area.

It has 278 surface acres, 11 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 30 feet.

This lake connects to the Ocean Shores canals which stretch for miles and have good bass fishing.

The lake and canals feature largemouth bass. Duck Lake and the also features rainbow and cutthroat trout, crappie and bluegill.

Report: Found some largemouth in the canals. Caught 3 all about 15 inches. Fishing Senkos and a Slugo. There did not appear to be too many fish, saw no small ones. Locals blame grass carp and spraying to get rid of milfoil.

Report: fished west shoreline by islands. caught about four fish around 3 pounds. all fish were in about 3 feet of water with thick weeds and with a fast drop to about 8 to 10 feet of water. fished in the shade of the alder trees. fished dark jig-pig.

Tips: watch water temp. if it gets sunny flip under docks Other than that fish the weeds with wood.

Report: fished west canal w/my son chatreuse and white spinner bait over the weeds. caught abought 10 fish four over three pounds
